Urban Myth Studio is a boutique, turnkey production space featuring a custom-built white cyc (infinity wall), a large private bathroom with shower, two west-facing windows, and a central skylight with a sliding blackout shutter (the natural daylight can be blocked out in less than a minute.) We also have a built-in hair and makeup station, wardrobe rack, professional clothes steamer, fans, water cooler, Bluetooth sound system, air conditioning and heat. The space has been sound-treated to help make audio recording possible.
We have a selection of strobes with modifiers for photography, along with daylight-balanced continuous lighting for video production. (see the Equipment page for details and current availability) You’re welcome to set up the lights yourself, but if you’re new to studio lighting—or simply need to get shooting quickly, I can help you get set up and make sure everything is working properly. If you have questions during setup or while you’re shooting, I’m usually right next door in my office. If I’ve stepped out, you can always reach me by phone.
